Food
Wonton Mee on Chulia street
It's a stall at the crossover between Lebuh Chulia and Lebuh Carnarvon. In the chaos of annoying sellers you should find a cart with a huge pot and plenty of empty bowls on the cart. There will be plastic chairs and tables around. It's probably called "Mother And Son Wonton Mee stall" but Google Maps reviewers sometimes post pictures of the wrong place.
Yong Pin Restaurant
Old-school Dim Sum restaurant, recently renovated so it's safe to bring friends who never ate dimsums.

ae coffee
Small cute shop which roast their own beans. Can be too crowded so we don't recommend coming with a big group. Coffee taste very good. Right opposite of Komichi Tea House.

Ome by Spacebar Coffee
It's closed more days than it's open, we never had a chance to visit it but Oskar keeps recommending it to everyone.

Bea.Penang
Sits in a grassroot neighbourhood, next to a park therefore has greenery view. Tzeyu is so happy that this cute independent coffee shop exists in this part of Penang Island, and she and her family can have accessible good coffee in walking distance from her house. She wishes that this kind of independent coffee shop will appear more in different neighbourhoods, outside of the T20 and touristic areas!
