Kombucha party 🎉
We want to treat friends & family with homemade kombucha. Kombucha is a word with 8 letters, also known as a "tea fungus" by your parents.
Date
April 4, Saturday, 6 pm. If you're late, you may miss some kombucha flavors.
We plan to finish at 8 pm but who knows.
Location
Our home! There's free parking.

Post party
This is Tzeyu writing two months after the party.
5 friends showed up! Most of them arrived after 6pm and brought chips for Oskar. Except one who arrived 2 hours later, all of them haven't visited our house, so we had a short home tour while enjoying the view from our balcony and getting to know each other.
We served spaghetti as main course, and our guests really liked the pumpkin soup. Oskar served the fries in the middle after everyone was tired with spaghetti.
Along with food and chat, we tasted 8 kombucha flavors one by one:
- Blood orange juice and rosemary with black strong kombucha
- Peach jam with black mild kombucha
- Watermelon juice with black strong kombucha
- Dried Russian Apple slices and berry fruit leather from Oskar's grandma's farm, with 3/4 mild black kombucha and 1/4 strong black kombucha
- Dates and 2 tablespoon of sugar with black strong kombucha
- Ginger with mild black kombucha
- Peach jam with sour green kombucha
- Watermelon and lemon with mild black kombucha
We asked everyone to share their top 3 favorite flavors:

Overall, the tastiest is "Peach jam with black mild kombucha", then "Dates and 2 tablespoon of sugar with black strong kombucha", then "Watermelon juice with black strong kombucha".
"Dried Russian Apple slices and berry fruit leather from Oskar's grandma's farm" turned out to be super gassy! It ran out from the bottle when we opened it and caused a small mess in the living room. It tasted very sparkling.
Next time, we should create more flavors with mild kombucha. They taste really good.
To be honest, I slowed down our kombucha making after that party, because we have very big vessels, the kombucha ferments fast (or time flies), and we can't consume them so fast. Now we have a lot of over fermented kombucha at home. Like, 20 liters! I don't want to throw them away because they are my babies and they can be used to create so much more kombucha babies, but I have limited amount of vessels, and also very limited capacity to consume those kombuchas.
Friends, if you need mother tea to create your own kombucha, please let me know! I'm very happy to give them out and to know that another kombucha family line will be passed on with you.
After the tasting we went for an ice cream walk, and came back and talked more. Some of our friends stayed till 2am.
It's our first time hosting a party/gathering, and we think it's a pretty good one.
